Beskrivelse av location
The Wharf Area lies just adjacent to the Hydropark complex, located by Lake Heddal in Notodden, Norway. From the wharf area, the filmmaker gets and excellent perspective of both the lake as well as the Hydropark complex, and its unique combination of industrial buildings in different themes and designs. The complex has a building mass of approximately 40,000 m2 distributed over 30 different structures. The Wharf area is easily accessible by using the avenue that lies between Hydropark and the lake. Managed by Notodden Municipality, the wharf area occupies a special niche in the history of both the town as well as the Industrial Heritage site. It was here during the peak periods of activity from 1907 to 09 when Hydro built the railway from Notodden to Rjukan that some 50 - 60 labourers worked here at Rjukan Quay as preparations were made to begin to ship the lifesaving mineral fertilizer to the south. The Wild Telemark’s (www.wildtelemark.com) close cooperation with the town of Notodden will allow your film crew to make the most of the time needed to get your shots required, including use of a drone as required. There is ample parking space for both truck and automobiles, and together with our team, Hydroparken can supply extra practical and technical support. Price upon request.
